Mind blowing, right? But it's true. We love hearing from our readers, and it's always a fantastic day to see a new review from a fan.

Problem is, readers are less likely to leave a review if they actually liked the book.

 

I know, I was surprised when I found out, too. But statistics show that majority of readers only leave reviews if they hated a story, and those who loved it don't realize how much leaving a few simple words like "I loved it!" or "Can't wait for the next one!" really help us out.

 

How does it help? Well, consider other potential readers who are trying to make an informed decision on a new book. Reviews can help determine if they'd enjoy the story or not. Everyone has a favorite flavor of ice cream. I LOVE Cookies & Cream ; I HATE Birthday Cake. While they both have vanilla, they're two wildly different flavors. We all have specific tastes, and it's hard to know what you'll like until you try it.

For that reason, most readers want to see if someone with similar tastes enjoyed the book - or didn't.
