Chanerr hou, everyone!
Long time, no post, am I right? The toddler's been keeping me busy along with some new books lately, so I've been pretty late with these posts. Sorry for the delay!
Anyway, now that the NecroSeam Finale, Blossom of Gold, has come to an end, we've got a special bonus story coming soon in October: Princess of Grim, a NecroSeam Prequel featuring a young Willow and Xavier.
You can preorder it in the Barnes and Noble and Amazon. We're also offering preorders for SIGNED paperback copies here in the NecroSeam Store, so feel free to check it out!
I'm so excited about this story, you guys. I started writing it about two years ago, finished the first draft last year, and didn't have a chance to go in and edit until after I'd finished Blossom of Gold. Now that it's done, and the Audiobook for Willow of Ashes is underway, I'm falling in love with NecroSeam all over again. ~Swoon~ Going back through, it's super easy to see why I loved writing this story. I think I really did hit the jackpot with writing my favorite adventure. Maybe it's not for everyone (what story IS?) but damn, it sure is for me.
Speaking of audiobooks, I'm stoked with the progress. Almost 60% through editing! There have been some truly chilling and squee-inducing moments, I can't begin to tell you how amazing Matt Goodson and Christa Burton are. You'll just have to hear it for yourself when it's out (hopefully by November). In the meantime, you can listen to a preview of one of the songs featured in the audiobooks (lyrics written by me, performance by Christa Burton, and instrumentals/arrangement by Matt Goodson).
What's next?
I've got one Children's Illustration book due in November (unrelated to NecroSeam), for the wee kiddies. My little dragon princess toddler is finally showing an interest in picture books, so I decided to make one for her and other little tykes who might enjoy colorful pictures and fairy tales. This features my own digital artwork also, so everything is by me, and I'll be selling artwork prints of choice pages on EllieRaine.com soon enough, if anyone's interested.
P.S. I want to give a special shoutout and thank you to our new subscribers! We've had a flood of new folks these last few weeks, thank you so much for the support! I'm planning on rearranging a few things design-wise on the site and hopefully better organize (and expand) some of the world notes to give you all something fun soon enough, so stay tuned!
